I have no problem with you wearing SS at all. I'll be getting one myself soon enough.
As for the statistical wizards; I wear a ballistic vest in my profession. I've never known another officer who was saved because they were wearing a ballistic vest, although many officers are alive today because they wore a vest, I just don't know any personnaly. Statistically speaking the chances of being shot and the ballistic vest saving your life are small to say the least. But it happens. I'm sure you can quote me statistics that show my chances of being shot and the vest saving my life are extremely rare, but, I'm still gonna wear my vest!
