for whatever it is worth, i am deeply gratifying that you and others in the industry are finally acknowledging the intrinsic (and commercial) value of a healthy population of Giants right here in our local waters.

There needs to be a strong alliance among sportdiving interests to protect their habitat from recreational angling as well as poaching and incidental commercial take. Italian Gardens is host to an aggregation of Giants who have been there for generations. Poaching and recreational angling are the only real threat to that population. If the Giants were protected in THEIR chosen habitat,(Italian Gardens) your industry would draw divers from around the world for the incredible experience of swimming with those gentle Giants....

Protect that which you value!
