Debbie, Thank you for your thoughtful comments. I agree with you 100% There is room for all types of ocean activity. Leave it up to the professionals to set the rules (DFG). I do it all, game (lobsters, calicos, scallops, crabs),free diving for abs on the north coast, photography, sightseeing, wreck diving, rod and reel fishing, whale watching (both underwater and above). They all have their attractions. We are lucky to live in a locale that supports all this. Those who concentrate on a single activity to the exclusion of others and only want their particular activity authorized, are acting selfishly in my opinion.
