i can take a picture of the same fish for years, but one encounter with a spearo and that fish is gone forever. So it is entirely disingenuous for a spearo to say we accept you, why don't you accept us?

BECAUSE YOU ARE KILLING THE VERY FISH WE WANT TO TAKE A PICTURE OF!

that's why...

Those of us who are actually able to enjoy our experience on the water without having to PROFIT from it are having NO IMPACT on spearfishing! But every time a spearo kills a fish, the rest of us will NEVER be able to photograph that fish....

Now, who is being selfish????
