what's the problem? |

That ethic isn't always present, as dramatically demonstrated by a SoCal spearfishing club that proudly displayed photos of their members going 15 miles (WELL within the range of GSB from, say, La Jolla -- so it could easily have been exactly the same fish as seen off the Cove, by the way) to hunt something that supposedly their ethics prevent them from hunting here. You either "get it" that there's zero sport in using a shotgun on a golden retriever pup that bounds up to you and drops a ball at your feet, or you don't. You either "get it" that there aren't very many GSB and they should be left alone... be that in La Jolla or Catalina or the Coronados, or you don't. For those who obviously don't get it, why should they be allowed to spearfish off a diving boat in an area where the diving operators are trying to preserve something special? Why should we trust people who on one hand proudly display photos of an action most of us find abhorant, while on the other hand these same people try to convince us how innocent they are?
