For shame! Goodness knows Wetzel made his presence known... anyway, our official tally was 39 divers, though a few unofficially may have drifted over from some activities going on to the south, all collecting: 1 fully intact bicycle, 16 knives (I think there were more but some were in really good shape...), 2 pairs of scissors, a nice set of pliers, a couple flying toys, umpteen fishing rods spewing line and reels everywhere, a number of hygienic and, ah, interpersonal products, loads of assorted plastic junk, one "rescued" octopus who was quickly reunited with his home turf, and a dime. More reports on the DiveVets website - Thanks to all for their hard work and great attitude, and kudos also to the volunter divers who came over to help construct SeaLab's beach city in record time. And if you liked this dive, don't forget the Avalon Clean-up in February... Cheers, |
