It does seem that some have gotten off topic. I believe that spear fishing within the law, within reason and within moderation is acceptable. It seems that some would outlaw spear fishing because there are poachers that use spear guns. That is like outlawing cars because some people violate traffic laws. What I feel we need is better F&G enforcement and REAL penalties for poachers. Let's stop the wonton killers and leave the respectful hunters be. I believe that marine life and fishing can co-exist if properly managed. Unfortunately I have yet to see any proper management. How about we all vent our frustration on the dept. of F & G and the courts and tell them that we collectively want to see severe punishment of the poachers that steal from each and every one of us.
