SAN DIEGO -- Seven people are safe after a rescue from a research boat on San Clemente Island.

The Coast Guard released video of the foundering 52-foot boat Conquest on Monday.

Officials said that the passengers called for help early on Monday, saying that the boat was grounded and taking on water. Security personnel on the island were able to get the seven people onto dry land, where they are all in good condition.

A Navy helicopter is scheduled to bring the people from the boat back to San Diego.
