Terrible Impact on Steelhead and Salmon |

The educated ones have figured out how to take the fish as they concentrate at the mouths of rivers or near fish ladders. With white shark populations down, seals really don't have any predators keeping them in check. I think part of the overall fishery management should include the culling of some of the nuisance Sea Lions. We currently have the same problem in CA with mountain lions. Their populations have not been kept in check by hunting or wildlife management. They now are killing off too many of the Desert Bighorn Sheep which are a threatend species. Fishery and wildlife management needs to be comprehensive and in cooperation with both environmental groups and sportmans groups. Both have vested interests in healthy sustainable stocks. JMO
