It may not be "emotions" as we know them, but there is too much about marine life that people (scientists) still don't understand. For instance, I've listened to people who study sea urchins ponder the concept of sea urchin communication - I guess they have seen things that they can't really come up with any other explanation for. There is still so much that we don't really know. 40 years ago it was staunchly professed that dogs don't have "emotions". So who knows for sure.
