I've been on 8-12 dive boats with Elaine and I do think you're picking on the wrong person. I don't get the racist vibe at all. In fact she's pretty cool, so you may want to rethink your position on that.

Now, can a person say something that doesn't always come out just right? Sure can. I do it ALL the time. Bet you do too.

I've been Black since I was six years old and I've made a few observations since regarding race and prejudice........

Everybody is prejudiced. Everybody, ok? So get over it. It's just a matter of degree. And for those folks who say.... "I don't have a prejudiced bone in my body!", yeah, you are too. But remember, it's a matter of degree.

Prejudiced is not equal to racist, so don't go there, ok?

Are the laws of this country slanted against people of color?
Studies say....... yup.
Do people of color get charged more interest on loans?
Studies say....... yup.
Do people of color tend to receive a lower standard of education and healthcare?
Studies say....... yup.

But you gotta live, so you make changes in your life to accommodate and move on.

So does mean......
All Whites are evil? Nope.
All Asians are poachers? Nope.
All Blacks and Latinos are Criminals? Nope.
What we all are is ........ People.

I don't care what color a poacher is or the guy who shoots a Black Sea Bass, just nail the bastard.... period.

So that's my take prejudice and being Black in this country. The world is tough! Life aint' fair! The other guy always gets the breaks! Trouble is, the other guy is thinking the exact same thing! And you know why??????? 99.9999% of us are in the same boat (Hope they have a good cook). Please, try to remember that.

So, can we get back to diving stuff?

I feel I need to end this post with great news!

I just saved a ton of money on my car insurance by switching to Gieko! :o)
