Posted by Scott on September 26, 2005 at 14:48:01: Pt Lobos is very nice, but isn't the only place to dive. Monastery is close and free - difficult entrance/exit for beginners but it gets you into the kelp forests very fast. About 10 miles south is a place called Garrapata park and there is a great cove dive with a bit of a hike down a long path.
