Thanks for the warning about not looking - I didn't and I'm glad. But I've lived in Florida and heard that at least a long time ago dogs were routinely used for croc bait by croc hunters (actually poachers)- They would be strung up in a nearby tree dangling by the leg so as to attract a croc. I also thought they got the dogs from the pound - but now it's too expensive- so they use strays- It could also be an urban legend- but it didn't sound like it to me- I think people are just cruel. Some people have different standards too. My brother was warned not to look at the open air markets in China and sure enough he saw dogs strung up there with his own eyes. I would like to write someone a letter about using pets as bait.
