You do know the state marine fish, the garibaldi? Did the fish look like one of them. We have had a number of fishers illegally take garibaldi out here on Catalina. One was fishing from Cabrillo Mole where the boats come in. He was told by a harbor patrolman not to take them and to throw the ones he had back in. A while later he resumed fishing, but unknown to him a sheriff's deputy was observing and caught him.
