I got stuck in the wrong place and a big swell passed overhead at the wrong time. I had a hadful of bullkelp, but it too let go and the surge in the concentrated valley swept me up 30 feet in seconds. The pain was horrible, but it stopeed quickly, so I though I was OK. I went to an ENT. My hearing is now a bit below normal in my left ear, and was better than normal in my right ear.
