I turn in last night, rain pouring down, expecting to see nothing but mud and chop along the beach this morning.

Driving down down the beach - Toes, Dockweiler, El Porto, clear down to Hermosa, and I'm looking at beautiful, translucent, glassy, blue-green water - WTF!

We had warm, sunny Santa Anas, and water was muck. We get rain and mudslides and the water looks like the tropics.

I just don't get it
