I'm Not A Lobster Diver, But I Play One On TV |

Anyway, I've found a curious thing with the Pelican LED light I use - when I light up a bug with the beam, they freeze and stay that way as long as I don't waver with the beam. I'm not saying it pins them forever, but once they're in the beam, I can be pretty casual with my grab. The LED light just seems to lock 'em down. I've never seen this with any other light I've used, and I've used and abused a few. Everything from rubber-bodied mine flashlights with a hose clamp to prevent leaks around the lens to Darrell-Allan's to HIDs and I've never seen this type of response from the crustaceans. On the down side, because the beam is so tightly focused, it is harder to scan areas when you're on the hunt. Stay wet
