Not bright enough to use as a primary, but it comes with both a spot and a flood. The flood does a good job of lighting up the area around you and makes it easier to bag. It's much brighter than most 4AAs even with the flood. Have to be careful not to look directly at your buddy. The head strap has a hinge so you can adjust the angle easier than the ones you attach to your mask stap.
