Enjoyed four great dives aboard the Spectre at Anacapa today. Calm ride over and back, no swells at the island (back and front side), no current, excellent vis (30 to 40 feet mostly). The overcast day didn't provide any warming between dives and the water was typically 59 F (thank heavens for the Spectre's hot tub and delicious BBQ lunch!)

The overcast and calm conditions brought out a lot of twilight creatures - saw several octopus which we normally don't see on our daylight dives there. Plus huge bugs, sheepshead, calico, and a healthy kelp forest in the no take areas we enjoyed. Many shutterbugs aboard today - should have some great pix.

Have to say this was one of my best days at Anacapa.

If you're going out tiomorrow you should be in for a real treat.
