Jerry has very good product.

It seems out of my pocketbooks range, so I made my own.
They are in the get the kinks out stage, but if you are a tinkerer, DIY type or get bummed out that all those tools in the garage are just sitting there, the process is easy.

This shows a good solution. Perhaps $10.00 per pair.

I did it a bit differently. I used Heavy wire-ties to affix the spring to the post, This may be a failure point. we shall see. Then I used inner-tube rubber from a thin racing bicycle inner-tube. I had this so I didn't factor this in. I don't know if the rubber will be a problem, but after 20 dives all is well.

My next attempt will be to use a blowtorch to modify the last loop or two so that the spring will wrap directly around the post.

Oh yea, getting the internal string length right was a comedy event...
