What were they doing? Because many divers play with them at where you were??? Long time ago (more than 20 years ago), I also played with many seals in Monterey. Once, one of them came near me, looked streight at me. Then, bubbles came out of his mouth as if he was laughing at me, and he went away... A nice memory. Also, remember a baby whale coming near as well. Kio
