When I get the photo I feel like all of the years of work have paid off. I know what separates the best from the rest is that the best get the photos. They are sharp, well composed, colorful, etc. and the hardest of all to capture with all of the above elements is "action". My regret over missing the op. is just a temoporary wiriing screw up. I'm sure the poor guy is embarrased. They put up with a lot from me while they were on the boat and I really respect them for it. Fortunately one of the wardens had been exposed to me last year so he was kind of immune to the onslot and took it with good humor. The one who landed in the water had never met me before.
