I got the Sunray-X Pro HID lights, since I thought I would probably do some normal shooting in addition to macro. However, I definitely agree---halogen is an appreciably warmer light than HID. My next practice session I'm going to see how things look with just one (HID) light, but of course a lot depends as well on the local conditions (sunny vs. foggy or overcast, good vs. poor visibility, etc.) Not to mention that I'm still WAY at the bottom of the learning curve!
