Why did the squid cross the Redondo submarine canyon?

To lay eggs on the other side!

Josh,

I haven't been to the canyon for a while, but for the last few weeks on most of our deeper dives in Santa Monica Bay, there have been greater and lesser clusters of squid eggs. I would suspect that if they're not there yet, they will be soon.

If you're interested in dinoflagelates, the Red Tide is back, scattered along the South Bay, and as far north as MdR.

By the way, I'm sorry you missed the presentation Mark & I did at AoP. Maybe another time.

Stay Wet
