Josh,

I used to carry a knife and never really used it, then lost it. Replaced it with shears. I've used the shears a number of times. From trimming running nylon strings on gear, cutting monofiliment and cutting 5/8 rope.

Granted they're much good for prying, but I haven't missed that.
