We did this trip on Peter Hughes in June (mid to end) 2 years ago. Wow!!!!
I have heard that the later in the year you go the visibility gets worse but you see more whale sharks at Darwin Is. The earlier you go, obviously the opposite. We had eight sighting of whale sharks in 2 - 2 1/2 days of diving - I believe we saw 2 whale sharks, one large (about 45') one smaller (about 30'). THe visibility was wonderful (about 80'on average) and weather was not too sunny but not too cold. Overall it was very nice. Expect to swim your ass off if you want to get close to the whale sharks. Peter Hughes was first class - no complaints about anything. Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'm sure my hubby will respond to this with more details as well. Suz
