Really many dive shops have a very devoted following.
They treat their flock well and loath visitors like they are kelp dirt.
Little fifedoms.
The workers enjoy being answerpersons.
Just watch when you ask a question about a subject that they are not familar with. Or say "Yea, I was in the shop down the street..."
