Posted by scottfiji on November 15, 2005 at 11:29:40: Selected photos from Bali trip (photos at the top and bottom of the thread) http://www.scubapost.net/forums/showthread.php?p=5363#post5363 Well, I just got back from 17 days in Bali, and I did 38 dives. The diving was unbelievable. Manta madness, cuttlefish, stonefish, lionfish, sea snakes, frogfish, nudis galore, mola mola, turtles, lots of sharks. Lots of healthy coral, sponges, tunicates, etc. Tons of fish. Wrecks, walls, much, strong currents, slopes, you name it! Must be some of the best diving in the world. I stayed in amed, tulamben, and padang bai. People were ultra-friendly, hotels diving and food were good and very cheap. I didn't see any terrorists. I highly recommend bali as a destination. My new fuji f-10 camera with a 1-gig card worked great. Lithium battery was good for 4 dives in 1 day. I brought a 20gig smartdisk photochute harddrive ($199) to store my photos on, instead of a laptop, it worked perfectly.
