It's a little deeper than your usual dives, although there are other pipes in the area a little shallower. This particular site is so nice because the three pipes are layed out in an arrow formation pointing away from the prevailing current. It forms a natural trap for plankton, as evidenced by the sheer numbers of metridiums in a concentrated area. Of course the twelve foot diameter pipes are also a Jungle Gym for divers. It's impossible to resist swimming through them. Just watch out for the sharp dorsal spines on the cabezons there. Many are quite large.
