I speared a nice mackarel in Malibu the other day and cooked it for dinner this evening. After a few delicious bites I noticed a tightly coiled dark colored worm. I ate a few more bites and I began to see many. I decided not to eat the fish.

Does anyone have any idea what these are? I'm not too worried but if I come across them again is it best to avoid?

OH YA!!! The Vis in Malibu is AMAZING right now!!!
