Hey HoloD....Yes I speared the fish freediving in open water using a Riffe blue water gun with custom sidestalks and a front stabilizer. I use 5 bands, 5/8 x 32 in. I also use a custom made 100 ft bungie float line and 3 Rob Allen floats with a Riffe torpedo at the end. It's all intended to handle a world record tuna if I'm ever lucky enough to spear it. A friend of mine just set a new world record for yellowfin tuna this weekend while diving in Costa Rica.....311 lbs! I look forward to seeing the pictures.
