Those 5000 mAH batteries at batteryspace.com are size C, not Cs.
Cs is a bit smaller than C. 3800 mAH is the baddest Cs I've
found, and is probably gross overkill -- would cover a day of
five dives, full roll on each dive, at full power.

I've got some 3800 mAH Cs packs coming. Five minutes to cut the
case open, five minutes with a soldering iron, a little tape, and
I'm in business. IF they fit. These batteries are just a touch
bigger (.5 mm) than what Nikon used.

I also have some loose 5000 mAH C cells coming to use in my
flashlights.

I could also use 2500 mAH AAs, but the Cs has about 2.2x the
volumne of a AA, and it will fit.
