I expect that some day, everyone who is out there having the time of their life diving is going to look back and say "those were the days". Our little diving world, that is enjoyed by, in the big scheme of things, so few, is so special.

Phil, your photos are good, and some of them are excellent. You are doing wonders with what is esentially a brownie camera. When you plunk down the investment for something "better" that is when you are going to realize that every camera has its strengths and its weaknesses, no matter what it is. You will look at the new stuff and see that it does this better, and that better, but there is going to be something about it that will bug you because your older, cheeper stuff could so something that the new stuff can't. It is the nature of the beast.
