Actually, I made a lot of dives in July when the water temps were in the high 40s. It's been a strange year for diving here. Only my hands got cold then. I made three dives yesterday in soaked undergarments with the shortest dive being 55 minutes. I felt fine in the water, but got chilled back on the boat. It was overcast and chilly topside all day. None of that helped the cold I've been fighting all week, but I couldn't pass up the chance to dive wrecks with the visibility that good. Normally, the vis on the wrecks that close to shore average 5-10 feet. The Jenny Lynne, with its mast, rigging, depth and usual dark and dirty conditions can be a dangerous dive, but it was a playground yesterday.
