Well, after the nice responses I got to my last set of photos, I 've decided to post a few from a night dive I did at redondo beach a few days ago. The water was crystal clear, and very cold! Everyone, enjoy your holidays! I'll be on the east coast for 2 1/2 weeks, unfortunately no diving for me out there. Too bad I'll miss the giant swells coming in tomorrow! Try to watch the waves tomorrow afternoon if you can, they should be the largest around playa/marina del rey or venice.

Market Squid, 70ft (There were only a couple squid out)

Navanax (sea slug that eats nudibranchs), 65ft

Juvie horn shark, 30ft. These are very common in Redondo.

Spanish shawl nudibranch, 60ft

Speckled sanddab, 50ft (detritus area)

Kelp crab, 50ft (detritus area)

Anemone, 45ft

Small Blackspotted shrimp, before burying himself, 20ft

Young pipefish, 25ft; I see these often between 20 and 35ft.

Small shovelnose guitarfish, eye and spiracle, 15ft
