The Catalina Concervancy has been working on getting the native fox popluation back up to healthy numbers. They do bring in healthy buffalo from areas and trade from the current hurds to keep them healthy and controlled in regard to population.

When I heard about the goats, it made me sick (don't understand why they could not have transported them off island somewhere, but I'm sure they had their "reason" whatever it was :-(

Now, if they would only show such care and compasion and make more marine reserves around Catalina...in the last 7 years the marine life and ecoenvironment has changed dramatically for the worst, that also makes me very sad and sick ;-(
