I wouldn't last 10 minutes in one on a serious photo dive. Bug hunting covers tons of ground. Photos require sitting and waiting, sitting and waiting, sitting and waiting. I get an extremely stable platform for all of the photo stuff and can hold my own in a current as long as I'm not pulling around a steel tank. I've watched teeth chattering as you exit - fess up.
