I have like a 75 mil. undergarment but layer up with other fleece underneath and that's been working for me. Patagonia expedition socks are great for filling out the booties and my feet have never been cold.

Also, I never trim the seals, just break 'em in, but I've seen an AL 80 used to stretch neck seals out a bit.

Once you get used to the dry-suit you'll never go back.
