I see advertisements for "independent" saying they are CDs for
everyone from NAUI to PADI to TDI to SSI to etc. I talk to
CDs who tell me the same thing, that is they can offer ITCs to anyone of many different agencies.

When I received my instructor rating, I read it in some very
plain english that I could not become a CD for more than one
agency under the code of ethics and general bylaws of the agency.

What prompted me to this query, is that there is a hot and heavy
debate going on right now on the private instructor's list of one
of the agencies due to a recent statement made by it's board.

I was just curious how common this practice of dual CD position
holding really is, or am I just seeing a lot of post board election sour grapes from the constituants.
