DAN America not paying the bills?

A dive buddy showed me an email yesterday from some diving newsletter. It says that SSS (or SSR, I can't remember) which is the organization that runs several recompression chambers in the Caribbean, including the ones on Roatan and Cozumel (!!!), will no longer accept DAN America insurance at their chambers. This is supposedly due to DAN being the only diver's insurance company that hasn't paid their bills and this company has had no success in getting DAN to pay. They say that DAN members can still of course take their recompression bills to DAN for reimbursement on the claim, but that the insured will have to pay the chambers in full for services rendered.

Is this old news? Anyone else hear about this? I was thinking of joining DAN this year but now I'm not so sure...
