A couple of years ago I picked up a copy of "Diving Offshore California," which is an excellent overview of dive sites in and around the Channel Islands. The authors of the book, initially published in 1992, are Darren and Stacey Douglass. My copy was republished sometime after 1995, and I noticed last night, for the first time, that Stacey Douglass dedicated the later edition to her husband, Darren, and her 14 year old son, Jeremiah, both of whom died in 1995. I was struck by the tragic coincidence of having both family members pass in the same year, and was wondering if anybody knows whether father and son died in a diving accident.
