My sighting of the one at Farnsworth Bank was near the ~60 ft pinnacle but at a depth between 80 and 100 ft. I'll see if I can get the "exact" GPS coordinates from the boat captain. The still in that collage is a frame from the video footage I shot. I got about 1 min 10 sec of trimmed video footage on mini-DV tape. From that I've extracted about 13 still images. The one I observed on Ship Rock may not be the same species. It had six arms and the spots on the arms were very faint. I also have mini-DV footage and extracted stills of that individual. The GPS coordinates would be that of Ship Rock off Catalina's Isthmus. You can contact me directly via the e-mail address above. |
