That was another poster. I agree with you that the time limit should have been announced in advance by the captain. He incorrectly assumed that everyone was aware that it was one hour. However, if there is no announcement, I do not think it is reasonable to assume on a three dive trip that there is no time limit, unless the captain announces that the boat will not move from its first anchorage. All I tried to show with my example was how the one hour dive limit on a three dive trip is arrived at. I don't see what all the fuss is about. Being 17 minutes over on the first dive is not a big deal, but neither is being told there is a one hour limit after the fact. Incorrect assumptions and poor communications do occur.
