It looks nothing like a conventional backplate.
It is shaped and formed with compound curves to fit the contours of your back better than anything produced so far (as far as I know).
The way it is shaped it would require a complicated adapter kit to hold doubles. It is designed for single tank diving.
I made my first one in frustration to everything that was out there including Halcyon. It actually has it roots in light commercial work, doing underwater mechanical work and boat cleaning.
