I took these pictures of schooling Bigeye Trevally (Caranx sexfasciatus) at Shark Fin Rock, Cocos Island, Costa Rica.
At Cocos everything is big, and these are what the large jacks and yellowfin tuna feed on. They are all 15 to 18 inches long. This is the "bait".
In the first picture you see the bait ball. It extens from the surface to below visibility (150 ft +). I swam into the bait ball to get these pictures. I hope you enjoy them.
