My reasons:

You have to put air in the suit anyway to avoid suit squeeze at depth; air is the insulator that keeps you warm.

With the dump valve you have hands-free, micro control of buoyancy.

Using the BCD leads to task overload when ascending - you have to dump air from both the drysuit and the BCD.

Just my personal preference. Also the recommended procedure by DUI.
