Fish ID Help Needed

I saw this fish last weekend while diving from the Pacific Star 10-10. He was out at night at Rippers. I have never seen a fish that looked like this before. He was perhaps 5 to 6 inches long. He was very camera shy. He made his get away by burying tail first into the sand. I can find fish with the behavior of making and backing into a sand hole with their tail, but they don't look exactly like this one. (Trip report coming soon, I'd like to know what this was)
