not really anyone can post a bogus email. I think this person may have been wrist slapped before and just couldn't wait to hit someone. What they should have done was to tell you to send this type of stuff to the boards self appointed weekly trip news lady Elaine so that she could post it for you. It serves a couple of purposes -

most of the light load and boats for the weekend are located all under one simple thread

it keeps bandwidth/noise down
