I had previously had a jacked BC years ago, then migrated to a Seaquest Balance back inflate, and how have the BP/W. Wish I'd saved the time and money and went with the BP from the start, but I guess I had to do the learning curve. Most people I know that have tried a backplate prefer it. There are one or two exceptions I've seen posts from, people who prefer a jacket or back inflate, but the majority seem to appreciate the features of the BP.
