I spoke with the Baywatch folks and was told that the dead SCUBA diver suffered cardiac arrest. He was retrieved floating face down inside the harbor so the current must have blown him out of the park.

I also heard, but can not personally confirm, that the dive buddy reported the incident by calling on a cell phone from the park. If true, makes me wonder why the buddy didn't stay with the diver???
